Speakers: Peter Hershock, Director of the Asian Studies Development Program of the East-West Center, will talk on “Winner Take All? Artificial Intelligence, ʻSmartʼ Capitalism, and the Ethical Imperative of China-US Cooperation."

Stephen Angle of Wesleyan University will speak on “Human Rights in Chinese Traditions" and Ya-Wen Lei of Harvard University will talk on “Delivering Solidarity: Platform Architecture and Collective Contention in China’s Platform Economy.”  A panel discussion follows.

This event touches on issues of global social justice, politics, economics, history, literature, technology/social media, and gender and is sponsored by MCC-ASDP.
