Nathan Lancaster Nathan Lancaster

Nathan Lancaster has over 20 years’ experience administering and planning programs and initiatives in the fields of international exchange, public affairs, and higher education. As part of the East-West Center’s Professional Development Program, he oversees the administrative operations of the unit to ensure its programs and activities are successfully planned and executed.

Nathan previously served as Senior Program Officer on the East-West Center's Leadership Program team, overseeing the onboarding and administration of participants in the Center's various leadership programs. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Director for Academic Programming at the East Asian Studies Center at The Ohio State University, the Assistant to the Cultural Affairs Attaché at the US Embassy in Seoul, and the international marketing manager for the Korea Tourism Organization, the Republic of Korea’s national tourism body.

Nathan has BAs in both Asian Studies and Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Utah and completed coursework for an MA in Media Studies (concentrating on East Asian film) from the Korea National University of Arts. He has extensive experience with the Asia-Pacific region, with a primary focus on East Asia, and spent a total of thirteen years working and studying in the region. He speaks Korean and Japanese.
